HPR Learning Session

Schedule a HPR Learning Session this summer! Sessions provide individualized support for young readers. Facilitated by a certified Horse Powered Reading (HPR) instructor, this learning opportunity is part of our Up 4 Reading series and offers a unique approach to literacy through the kind and compassionate presence of horses.

These sessions can be thoughtfully tailored to meet the needs of early childhood learners, elementary students, or those facing other literacy challenges, ensuring that every learner receives the support they need to thrive. We believe in fostering an inclusive environment where all learners are welcomed and encouraged to achieve their full potential through compassionate, personalized learning experiences.

What is Horse Powered Reading (HPR)?

Horse Powered Reading is a well researched interventional program that aids students in their literacy journey. By integrating socio-emotional learning with traditional reading skills, HPR reduces anxiety and builds confidence. • When: Every Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (Eastern)

• Where: Unbridled Peace Farm, Appleton, Maine

• Prepare: Once scheduled you will receive a survey as a first time learner to help us coordinate the lesson experience!
